Ginkgo Village & Black Fish Gorge – Tengchong

Ginkgo Village is a primitive village in Tengchong County, Yunnan Province. There are more than 3,000 ginkgo trees dotted inside and outside the farmyard. It has become the most popular destination in Tengchong in late autumn. The shadow puppet culture here has a history of more than 600 years, and its Xingyang paper umbrella and Jiangdong embroidery are well-known throughout the country. The best viewing period for ginkgo is from mid-November to early December. The village is divided into four areas. Chenjiazhai from Ginkgo Square on the Sancha Road at the entrance of the village is the densest place for tourists and ginkgo. The other areas are relatively quiet.
